In December 2015, Galawisz and her children Muhamad (20) and Sivan (17) left their hometown of Makhmur, Iraq, following a series of suicide attacks from Islamic State fighters.

Early February 2016, they reached Grande Synthe, France, where they settled in the refugee camp while hoping to reach the UK, where their husband and father is.

This is the story of their journey.
